The Friends of HCEE is a group of organizations and individuals who are committed to supporting the teaching of economics as part of the standard curriculum in Hawai'i schools.
Alarmingly, a study conducted by Louis Harris for the National Council on Economic Education found that 33 percent of young people and 50 percent of adults in the United States would flunk a basic economic literacy test, and that almost two-thirds of those surveyed did not realize that money loses value in times of inflation.
Financial education is essential to ensure that our youth are prepared to manage money, credit and debt, and become responsible employees, heads of households, investors, entrepreneurs, business leaders and citizens.
Contact us today to become a Friend of HCEE and help us provide economic and financial education to our students.
